I’m a London-based journalist who specialises in drink. That doesn’t sound good. Perhaps it’s better to say that I’ve been writing about drink for 11 years and I’m now the wine correspondent for the Guardian, contributing a weekly column to Weekend magazine. I'm also the author of How to Drink (Granta),
a book that deals with important questions such as ‘Why is it that hot water freezes into ice cubes more quickly than cold?’ and ‘How do you make the perfect G&T?’ I also write
for Psychologies magazine, advising readers on exactly the drink for the moment and am a feature writer at the Daily Mail.
